CAT B refurbishment

Systemiq
Systemiq and Systemiq Capital appointed Bloc Interiors to support their relocation from Holborn to Russell Square House, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and mindful product specification. The project centred on reusing and repurposing as much of their existing furniture as possible, while elevating the workplace experience through improved functionality, comfort, and contemporary styling. The result is a flexible, efficient environment that reflects their values and supports their growing team.
- Mindful design prioritising sustainability and environmentally friendly solutions
- Full CAT B meticulously designed to utilise the floor plate to it’s full potential
- Enhance the overall workspace experience, creating a calm, modern, inviting aesthetic.
- Create a multi‑purpose teapoint that could seamlessly transition between everyday use and hosting events or town hall sessions.
- Full move management, including decommissioning and storing all existing office furniture, fixtures and fittings and reinstatement upon completion.
The completed project has transformed Systemiq’s working environment into a warm, contemporary, and future‑proofed space that reflects the organisation’s commitment to sustainability. By integrating a significant proportion of existing furniture into a carefully considered layout, the scheme balances environmental responsibility with everyday performance and comfort.
A full CAT B refurbishment was delivered within programme and budget. MEP alterations were coordinated as part of the works to ensure the space operates efficiently, while styling and finishing touches bring personality throughout.
Delivered with attention to detail and a clear understanding of the client’s operational needs, the final result is a space that supports community, productivity, and Systemiq’s mission‑driven culture.
