Creating a post COVID enhanced working environment
CAT B

Leyton UK Limited
Leyton appointed Bloc Commercial Interiors to deliver a strategic Cat B fit out of their 12,000 sq. ft office on Bouverie Street, London. Following the pandemic, the company aimed to consolidate staff from two separate floors into a single, connected workspace to strengthen collaboration and team culture. The challenge lay in reconfiguring three adjacent suites separated by building core elements, while enhancing light, acoustics, and overall user experience.
The design needed to balance brand expression with practicality, creating a vibrant yet professional environment that reflected Leyton’s identity, including their passion for sailing, without overpowering the space.
- Consolidation of existing 1st and 5th floor teams onto a single floorplate
- Reconfiguration of three separate suites to create a cohesive workspace
- Enhancements to lighting and acoustics throughout
- Integration of brand identity in a subtle, sophisticated way
- Reuse of existing furniture and materials to minimise cost and waste
- Focus on flexible, non-permanent furniture solutions due to short lease term
- Eight-week delivery programme
The completed fit out transformed Leyton’s first floor into a unified, engaging, and comfortable workspace. Improved lighting and acoustic performance have significantly enhanced the day-to-day working environment, while the careful integration of brand colours and sailing-inspired elements adds personality and connection without excess.
By reusing furniture and materials wherever possible, Bloc delivered a cost-effective and sustainable solution aligned with the client’s lease term and environmental values. The result is a cohesive, high-functioning office that brings the Leyton team together and celebrates their culture in a fresh, practical way.
